Paul Petrus
Facilitator

Paul graduated with honors from a strenuous engineering program. Shortly after graduation, he found himself back in academia, as an adjunct professor at one of the top Junior Colleges in the country. And for over a decade now Paul has been a dedicated professional lead facilitator in both the corporate and collegiate worlds.

His passion for leadership and education has been present for over three decades, ever since his own collegiate experience, where he served as president of his college’s chapters of both the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Golden Key National Honor Society (with student chapter memberships in the hundreds and thousands, respectively).

Paul fully embraced the collegiate experience himself and took full advantage of many opportunities available to him during that season of his life – which made a lasting impact and helped form the path he as taken and the professional he is today. The final senior elective to complete his degree was a partnership with the Dean of the School of Engineering and himself, resulting in a first-time Independent Study focused on Motivation, Communication, and Leadership.

As a collegiate, he graduated with honors from a strenuous engineering program. He has accepted a seat in the highly selective, invite-only Advanced Leadership Symposium, a for-credit semester course focusing on leadership and other soft skills for student university leaders and exceptional students. He elected to spend a summer term as a participant in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World, where he attended weekly seminars on management and communications.

Shortly after graduation, he found himself back in academia, as an adjunct professor at one of the top Junior Colleges in the country. As a part of his continuing education to help serve the student body, he continued to attend college-sponsored education and training for the faculty, with primary focuses on education, communication, teaching psychology, and motivating and captivating groups of students.

Among the achievements in his training, he was a recipient of certification in Supervisory Leadership from Rollins College. But ultimately, he found his way to the team building world, motivated to optimally utilize his passion for both people and for growth, as well as help, make a positive impact on teamwork, collegiate and corporate culture, and individuals’ motivation, drive, and purpose.

Throughout his years as a team-building professional, he has continually returned to academia, serving multiple student groups and organizations on college campuses across the country, thru programs including on-campus scavenger hunts, professional development, and charitable give-backs, among other program types and styles. His engaging nature and passion for both personal development and team dynamics are contagious and inspiring, and a great match for collegiate groups.
